It is important for real estate agents to have resources available for their clients to help determine if a property will fit their needs. There is an abundance of information out there that provides value, we just need to point them in the right direction. This blog includes a section for links that are tailored to people that are looking to buy a home in the Portland metro area. There is also a section for Realtors and investors to help determine the value of a particular property.
Resources for Buyers
There are many city websites, which offer a lot of information about parks, permitting, events, jobs, and a variety of city-specific information. It is really nice for buyers to be able to look this information up for themselves and be able to see if any specific area would be a good fit for their family. It is important for buyers to be able to come to their own conclusion about the neighborhood they want to live in.
I also included information about suggested inspections in the Portland Metro area. Each link brings you to a brief description of why that type of inspection is important when buying a home. I also have suggestions for the inspectors that you should use!
Resources for Investors
I will keep adding and updating links to my website for investors that reference current landlord tenant laws in cities that I operate. For instance, there's a link to Senate bill 608. There is also an interactive map that tells you where there are developments in Portland, the comprehensive plan is on here, and Biggerpockets.com, which is basically like Facebook for real estate investors.
Resources for Realtors
One of the best resources that I have been using lately as an agent is Remine. It will help you determine if a homeowner will be interested in selling in the near future. I use it for my neighborhood in SE Portland because I would love to help more of my neighbors buy, sell, and invest in real estate.
Another great resource is RPR. RPR helps real estate agents find comparable properties to perform a competitive market analysis for their clients. I use Canva.com to develop advertising material like social media posts, flyers for open houses, and content for my website.
Almost all real estate agents receive the market action report through RMLS, which gives statistics about the previous month’s real estate production. This is a very valuable tool to help determine the market trends.
Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the links provided. I will be updating the links attached as there is new information available.
